Advantages over .NET
Supports only limited domain (as it is not open source).
Very much costly for clients to bear the cost.
Not very much compatible with the other technologies.
Very limited options available as for as development is concerned. for e.g. IIS server is only recommended server for running .NET while J2EE has so many options.
